WARSALONGEN 2025

WAR CHILD SWEDEN

The third edition of War Child Sweden’s WARSALONGEN – an annual art exhibition and auction in support of War Child’s work for children in conflict and war. The initiative transforms pictures that are worth money into images that are valuable for children.

War Child is an international children's rights organization founded in the Netherlands in 1994. Through a combination of psychosocial support, child protection, and education, War Child helps children affected by war and conflict to process their experiences through creative expression, enabling them to regain hope for the future and become healthy adults.

War Child has been present in Sweden since 2016, but needs to strengthen its brand to increase donations from individuals, companies, and institutions. The brief was therefore to raise awareness of War Child and collect funds for international aid work without bought media.

Several artists, art collectors and galleries contributed by donating artworks. Artworks by renowned artists like Carl Fredrik Reuterswärd, Lars Lerin, Astrid Sylwan, Maria Miesenberger, Frida Fjellman, among others were donated to WARSALONGEN 2025.

The opening of WARSALONGEN 2025 at Uppsala Auktionskammare in Stockholm drew a full house.

WARSALONGEN 2025 generated 1,3 million SKR, an increase of 223% compared to the previous year. National television and news outlets reported on the initiative. Earned reach: 4,3 million.
