Business Transformation

Transformation happens where strategy meets execution

We co-create, develop, and implement business strategies with our clients that create value and work in practice. Through operational models tailored to client’s circumstances, we create a platform for achieving set goals successfully. Our ability to ensure successful implementation transforms the business strategy from a mere plan into a driving force.

Together with our clients, we focus on the five key areas essential for successful business transformation

Strategy Formulation.

A well-formulated strategy is the first step in any business transformation. Whether your strategy is ready to go or you haven't started yet, an outside perspective uncovers all implicit choices and assumptions. These choices and assumptions need to be spelled out; that's where the trapdoors are hidden. In strategy, what matters is what would have to be true, not what is true. However, a strong idea or direction is not enough; it must also be actionable. We provide our clients with an outside perspective to help them reach places they couldn't reach on their own. All guided by a map of actionable objectives.

Leadership and Responsibility.

All leaders must accept that delivering the strategy is as important as formulating it. Today, leaders are expected to proactively address emerging gaps and challenges that could affect delivery, whether due to missing resources or direction. We prepare leaders and organizations for this challenge by creating an environment that fosters accountability. Without engaged and committed leaders, any transformation has a slim chance of succeeding.

People, culture, and engagement.

Beware of middle managers set in their ways! Get genuine buy-in from everyone in the organization by engaging leaders at all levels. Any transformation requires giving up the old way of doing things for a new, often unproven way. This creates friction and mistrust, which is why it's important to explain why changes are being made, the expected value, and how progress will be followed up on. We guide our clients to govern with transparency to build trust. This greatly increases the impact.

Planning, structure, and execution.

This is the obvious one, and it probably gets the most attention for this reason. Plans should be multidimensional, accounting for necessary resources, dependencies, timing, the full portfolio of initiatives, and other factors. As the saying goes, "Plans are useless, but planning is indispensable." We show our clients how to have a bias towards decision-making and how to make plans that are flexible while staying true to strategic goals and direction.

Follow up, Adapt, and Refine.

No transformation happens in one shot. Even if that was possible, it would be pointless. The goal should be to create an organization with a high degree of institutional resilience that can easily adapt to whatever the future brings. We help our clients identify and use key metrics to track progress and react swiftly when performance does not meet expectations. We also help them refine their approach to match changing conditions. Make this the default behavior for your organization, and any transition you undertake will be successful.
